Narbonnaise towers: Built by the engineers of Philippe the Bold, this construction represents an exceptional military architecture. Above the Arch of the gateway is a graceful niche, containing a Gothic statue of the Virgin. This dates from the XIII C. With the revolution, she was decapitated but later on we made it repaired. It was told at the time, that the soldier which had decapitated her would have died in terrible sufferings. The drawbridge is an invention of Viollet-le-Duc.
